Industry Warning

With the advent of the Internet, the term paper writing industry has grown in leaps and bounds and, as with any expanding industry, this has had both positive and negative ramifications. On the plus side, consumers now have more paper writing services and options to choose from than ever before. On the negative side, there are also more unscrupulous Internet companies within this industry than ever before, and they are just waiting for opportunities to take advantage of consumers any way they can. In fact, many of the Internet sites offering writing services in English are not even based in countries where English is the native tongue. As a result, many of the papers these companies are asked to write are outsourced to people who do not speak English as their native tongue. Obviously, the quality of such papers is sub-par, but by the time you receive your essay there is nothing you can do about it. Even if such sites do offer revisions (and they rarely do), you´re still stuck, as no amount of revisions will yield a quality paper if the writer doesn´t adequately speak the language in the first place!

To make sure that you are not the next victim of one of these foreign sites, we urge you to heed the following advice:

  • Check that the web site is not of poor quality or cheap design, and does not contain poor English content. These are strong indicators that the writing service is not based in a country where English is the native language.
  • Be wary of custom research that costs less than $15 per page. Custom research that costs this little usually falls under the ´too good to be true´ category and the quality of the paper delivered reflects this.
  • Don´t be fooled by sites that display well-recognized American logos such as those used by Yahoo or Google. These are usually placed on the site in an effort to establish an outward appearance of respectability, but in reality prove nothing of the sort.
  • Verify that the company has a physical address located in a country where English is the first language.
